Introduction
The GIGAIPC QB-N150A is a compact industrial embedded system built around an Intel processor N150. Its combination of dual Gigabit Ethernet, multiple display connections, USB Type-C DisplayPort Alt. Mode, and M.2 expansion makes it a flexible platform for network-connected and display-oriented embedded installations.
Measuring 118 mm × 109.4 mm × 44.4 mm, the system packages its I/O and expansion capabilities into a relatively small enclosure while supporting a 12 VDC to 19 VDC input range.
What it does
The QB-N150A provides a ready-to-integrate embedded computing platform with connectivity for displays, networking, audio, and expansion modules.
It includes two HDMI ports and one USB Type-C port with DP Alt. Mode, enabling connection to multiple display interfaces. Network connectivity is provided by two GbE LAN ports using Realtek RTL8111H Ethernet controllers. A combo audio jack supports headphone and headset connections, with audio handled by a Realtek ALC269 codec.
For local expansion, the system has an M.2 2280 M-key slot that supports either PCIe Gen 3 ×1 or SATA 6 Gb/s devices. A separate M.2 2230 E-key slot is provided for WiFi/Bluetooth modules. Power is supplied through a 12 VDC to 19 VDC input, with a 19 V, 65 W power adapter specified.
Applications
- Dual-network embedded systems requiring separate GbE connections
- Multi-display operator interfaces using HDMI and USB Type-C DP Alt. Mode
- Compact industrial computing installations with wired or optional WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity
- Embedded systems requiring M.2 PCIe or SATA storage expansion
- Network-connected display, audio, and peripheral-control endpoints
Design considerations
The QB-N150A’s 118 mm × 109.4 mm × 44.4 mm dimensions should be considered when planning enclosure space, mounting arrangements, cable routing, and connector clearance.
Storage or other M-key expansion devices must use the 2280 M.2 form factor and interface through either PCIe Gen 3 ×1 or SATA 6 Gb/s. Wireless expansion is handled separately through the 2230 M.2 E-key slot intended for WiFi/Bluetooth modules.
System power integration should accommodate the specified +12 VDC to +19 VDC input range. Designers using external displays should also account for the available two HDMI connections and the USB Type-C port’s DisplayPort Alt. Mode capability.
