AdvantechTCC-2026-09-14-pcie-1843-pcie-1843l-analog-input-pcie-cards
High-speed PCIe DAQ cards with 8 or 4 simultaneous 14-bit analog input channels and sampling rates up to 20 MS/s per channel.
Introduction
Advantech’s PCIE-1843/PCIE-1843L series is a family of PCIe analog-input data-acquisition cards intended for synchronized measurement of analog signals. The cards combine simultaneous sampling, 14-bit conversion, configurable per-channel input ranges, and sampling rates up to 20 MS/s per channel. With 8- and 4-channel single-ended options in the family, they are suited to measurement systems where several analog sources must be captured with aligned timing.
What it does
The PCIE-1843/PCIE-1843L cards acquire DC-coupled analog signals through either 8 or 4 single-ended input channels. Each channel uses 14-bit conversion and can be independently enabled or disabled in software.
Input range is software configurable on a per-channel basis, with ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V, and ±1 V options. The analog front end provides a 5 MHz low-pass-filter bandwidth at the -3 dB point. Input impedance can be set to 50 Ω or 1 MΩ using an on-board jumper for each channel.
The cards support instant and buffered acquisition modes, as well as digital and analog triggering. Available trigger actions include start, delayed start, stop, and delayed stop, with trigger delays and sample counts configurable from 0 to 16,777,215 samples. An onboard FIFO provides 65,536 samples of memory.
Applications
- Multi-channel vibration measurement and monitoring
- Audio signal analysis and capture
- Industrial test and measurement systems
- Synchronized acquisition of multiple analog sensor or instrument signals
- Triggered waveform capture for bench or automated test setups
Design considerations
The cards use single-ended analog inputs and DC coupling, so system signal referencing and the required coupling mode should be considered during integration. Software-selectable ranges allow channels to be matched to expected signal amplitudes, while the selectable 50 Ω or 1 MΩ input impedance requires a physical on-board jumper setting per channel.
The stated maximum input voltage is 10.1 V, with ±15 V over-voltage protection. Designers should still ensure normal operating signals remain within the selected measurement range and maximum input rating.
For triggered measurements, the available analog and digital trigger modes, trigger action, delay range, acquisition mode, and FIFO depth should be selected according to the event timing and record length required. Calibration accuracy is specified as ±0.2% of full-scale range maximum within ±5°C of the last operating temperature, and ±1% maximum across the full operating temperature range.
