Taoglas Genesis GEN.4.4C is a low-profile adhesive-mount 4-in-1 external antenna series covering 617MHz to 7125MHz for 5G, 4G/LTE, and Wi-Fi 6E applications.
Introduction
Taoglas’ Genesis GEN.4.4C series is a low-profile, adhesive-mount 4-in-1 external antenna platform intended to consolidate wideband cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity into one enclosure. Covering 617 MHz to 7125 MHz, the series addresses 5G, 4G/LTE, and Wi-Fi 6E frequency requirements while using a compact IP67-rated housing suited to exposed automotive and industrial installations.
What it does
The GEN.4.4C integrates four antenna elements in a single omni-directional, linearly polarized external antenna assembly. Its broad frequency coverage supports connectivity across cellular and Wi-Fi bands without requiring separate external antenna housings for each function.
Each antenna assembly uses 2 m low-loss TGC-200 cables terminated in SMA male connectors, with a 50 Ω impedance for integration with compatible RF equipment. The specified maximum input power is 10 W.
The enclosure measures 205 mm × 68 mm × 12.5 mm, combining a relatively low profile with adhesive mounting. Its IP67 enclosure rating and specified operating range of -40 °C to +85 °C make the series relevant where antennas may encounter dust, water exposure, and wide ambient-temperature variation.
Applications
- Vehicle-mounted 5G or 4G/LTE communication equipment
- Industrial gateways and remote monitoring systems
- Cellular-connected routers and edge-computing installations
- Wi-Fi 6E and cellular combination connectivity systems
- Equipment requiring four external RF connections from a single adhesive-mounted antenna housing
Design considerations
- The antenna is designed for adhesive mounting, so the intended installation surface and available footprint should accommodate its 205 mm length and 68 mm width.
- Integration requires equipment with SMA male-compatible RF connections and 50 Ω antenna ports.
- The four 2 m TGC-200 cable runs should be accounted for in enclosure layout, cable routing, and connector placement.
- The specified IP67 enclosure and -40 °C to +85 °C operating range are relevant for installations exposed to challenging outdoor, vehicle, or industrial conditions.
- RF performance is frequency-dependent: specified average gain ranges from -17.3 dB to -5.11 dB, while peak gain ranges from -1.33 dBi to 8.50 dBi. System designers should evaluate antenna placement and the required operating bands in the finished product.
