MicroVue 2.0 Digital Microscope

Introduction

Aven’s MicroVue 2.0, part number 26700-141, is a compact digital inspection microscope that combines imaging, display, storage, and measurement functions in one stand-mounted system. Its integrated 13.3-inch HD monitor avoids the need for a separate display for basic viewing, while HDMI output and USB PC connectivity provide options for incorporating the microscope into a larger inspection or documentation setup.

The system pairs a 5 MP camera with a 1/2.8-inch Sony CMOS image sensor and supports a magnification range of 20.7× to 133.4×. Video can be captured at 1920 × 1080 resolution at 60 frames per second.

What it does

MicroVue 2.0 is intended for close visual examination of objects and assemblies, with live viewing on its built-in HD display. Fine and coarse focus controls on the 16-inch track post support adjustment across the available viewing range.

The microscope includes built-in measurement capability, allowing dimensional observations to be made within the inspection system. Images and video files can be saved to a USB storage device, and a TF card slot is also provided. Two USB 2.0 ports are included, along with a USB connection for PC use.

For external viewing, the microscope provides HDMI output. This can be useful where the image needs to be shown on another monitor in addition to, or instead of, the integrated display.

Design considerations

The integrated monitor simplifies a self-contained bench setup, while HDMI output and USB PC connectivity should be considered when planning display, recording, or computer-based workflows. Image and video storage relies on a USB storage device; the system also includes a TF card slot.

For alternative physical arrangements, the microscope is compatible with boom stands or articulating arm stands when used with the optional MicroVue Arbor accessory. An optional UV LED ring light is also listed for illumination requirements that call for UV lighting.
