Introduction

Bulgin’s 6000 Series overmold cable assemblies are quick-disconnect power cable solutions designed for use with compatible 6000 Buccaneer connectors. The range combines pre-assembled plug or socket terminations with IP68 protection when mated, supporting installations that require a sealed detachable connection rather than hard-wired cabling.

What it does

The 6000 Series provides overmolded cable assemblies in plug and socket versions for power connections. Options cover 2-, 3-, 4-, and 8-contact arrangements, enabling selection according to the required number of conductors and current capacity.

Assemblies are available with flex, inline, or flex right-angle cable styles, as well as 1 m and 2 m cable lengths. The range supports ratings up to 20 A and 600 V, with current and cable-gauge options varying by contact count:

• 2-contact: 20 A with 14 AWG cable
• 3-contact: 20 A with 16 AWG cable
• 4-contact: 10 A with 18 AWG cable
• 8-contact: 7 A with 18 AWG cable

When mated, the connection is rated IP68 at a depth of 10 m for two weeks. The overmold uses PA material with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, while the cable jacket is specified as PBT/PC polybutylene terephthalate/polycarbonate.
