Introduction

Bulgin’s 6000 Hybrid Buccaneer Circular Connectors combine power and signal connections within a single sealed circular connector system. The series provides two 16 A, 600 V power contacts alongside a choice of two, four, or six lower-power signal contacts, helping reduce the number of separate connectors needed where both supply and control or monitoring connections are required.

The family uses a push/pull coupling arrangement with a 30° twist lock and provides IP66/IP68 protection when mated. Its combination of mixed-contact capability, environmental sealing, and panel- or cable-oriented formats makes it suited to installations that need a compact interconnect between equipment sections.

What it does

The 6000 Hybrid Buccaneer range carries power and signal circuits through one connector housing. The two power contacts are rated to 16 A and 600 V, while the available signal contacts are rated to 3 A and 60 V. Signal-contact configurations of two, four, or six contacts allow the connector arrangement to be selected for the number of low-power circuits required.

Bulgin offers flex-cable, inline-cable, front panel-mount, and screwed front panel-mount configurations, with plug and socket versions available. Termination can be by crimp or solder, supporting different assembly approaches.

When mated, the connectors are rated IP66/IP68, including an IP68 immersion rating of 10 m depth for two weeks. The PC/PBT body is UV-stable and halogen-free, has a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and supports operation from -40°C to +120°C.
