TE Connectivity's triple- and quad-band high-precision GNSS antenna lineup supports RTK and non-RTK positioning, navigation, tracking, and timing systems.

EHBSA Series Capacitors

Introduction

TE Connectivity’s Triple- & Quad-Band High Precision GNSS Antennas are a multi-band antenna lineup for positioning, navigation, tracking, and timing systems. The range is technically notable for supporting both RTK and non-RTK implementations, including RTK centimeter-level positioning and nanosecond-level timing support.

Designed for indoor and outdoor use, the lineup combines coverage of multiple satellite-navigation constellations with options for environmental protection, mounting method, and connector or antenna configuration.

What it does

These antennas receive GNSS signals for systems that require location, navigation, tracking, or timing information. Supported constellation options include GPS, G1/G3, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and IRNSS.

The product line is intended for both RTK and non-RTK systems. In an RTK-capable implementation, the antennas support centimeter-level positioning and ns-level timing. TE Connectivity specifies high gain and stable radiation patterns, while the ground-plane-independent design can simplify integration where a dedicated or controlled ground plane is not available.

Available variants span different antenna types and connectors. The lineup also includes IP67-rated options for installations requiring protection against dust and water ingress.

Applications

  • RTK-enabled high-accuracy positioning systems
  • Navigation and location equipment using multiple GNSS constellations
  • Asset- and vehicle-tracking devices
  • Timing systems requiring ns-level timing support
  • Indoor or outdoor GNSS installations
  • Space-constrained equipment that benefits from a ground-plane-independent antenna design

Design considerations

Selection should begin with the required GNSS bands and constellations, as the lineup offers triple- and quad-band options covering GPS, G1/G3, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and IRNSS.

Mechanical integration is also variant-dependent. Mounting choices include magnet, adhesive, solder, and screw options, enabling different enclosure, vehicle, board-level, and fixed-installation approaches. Where environmental exposure is expected, an IP67-rated variant may be appropriate.

For precision applications, the system architecture should account for whether RTK operation is required or whether a non-RTK GNSS implementation is sufficient. Connector and antenna-type options should likewise be matched to the intended equipment integration.
