Evaluation kits for rapid assessment of XENSIV TLx49901 automotive and industrial analog linear Hall sensors.
Introduction
Infineon Technologies’ XENSIV™ TLx49901 2Go Evaluation Kits are development platforms for quickly assessing TLx49901 analog linear Hall sensors across automotive and industrial sensor variants. They combine sensor evaluation hardware, an XMC4200 microcontroller, onboard debugging, USB connectivity, and GUI-based software in a single setup.
The kits support TLE49901-xM automotive and TLI49901-xM industrial analog linear Hall sensors, providing a practical route to observe sensor output and collect measurement data during early development and comparison work.
What it does
The TLx49901 2Go kits provide a USB-connected environment for evaluating compatible analog linear Hall sensors. USB supplies power to the kit and provides a data connection, while the onboard SEGGER J-Link debugger supports firmware and development access through the XMC4200 microcontroller.
The accompanying GUI software enables real-time output visualization, data logging, and CSV export. This allows users to observe sensor behavior as part of a magnetic-field test setup and retain recorded output data for subsequent analysis.
Supported sensing ranges depend on the TLx49901 sensor variant being evaluated:
- TLx49901-1M: ±45 mT
- TLx49901-2M: ±72 mT
- TLx49901-3M: ±90 mT
Magnetic sensor add-ons are also compatible with the kits, extending the available evaluation configurations.
Applications
- Early evaluation of TLE49901-xM automotive analog linear Hall sensors
- Assessment of TLI49901-xM industrial analog linear Hall sensors
- Magnetic-field response observation with real-time GUI visualization
- Sensor-output data capture and CSV-based analysis
- Comparison of supported TLx49901 sensing-range variants
- Prototype and test-bench setups using compatible magnetic sensor add-ons
Design considerations
The evaluation kit is intended specifically for the TLE49901-xM and TLI49901-xM analog linear Hall sensor families. Sensor selection should account for the required supported sensing range, from ±45 mT through ±90 mT depending on the -1M, -2M, or -3M variant.
Integration is centered on the kit’s USB connection, which handles both power and data, and on the XMC4200 microcontroller platform. The onboard SEGGER J-Link debugger may simplify development workflows where debugger access is useful. For measurement analysis, the GUI’s logging and CSV-export functions provide a direct path from live sensor observation to externally processed data.
