ASEK-35 Programmer Development Boards
Allegro MicroSystemsTCC-2026-10-05-asek-35-programmer-development-boards
Development boards that expand the Allegro MicroSystems ASEK-35 programmer with interface, sensor socket, and calibration accessory functions.
Introduction
Allegro MicroSystems’ ASEK-35 Programmer Development Boards expand the ASEK-35 programmer into a more complete platform for working with supported current sensors. The range combines programmer interface boards, sensor- and package-specific socket boards, and a dedicated calibration accessory, allowing development and programming setups to be tailored to the task at hand.
Rather than being a single board, the ASEK-35 ecosystem provides modular hardware for connecting devices, accessing signals during evaluation, preparing devices for burn-in testing, and calibrating the programmer’s analog channels.
What it does
The ASEK-35 development-board range is intended to provide the hardware interface between the ASEK-35 programmer and supported ASEK-35 current sensors.
Interface-board options include the ASEK-35-INT-01, ASEK-35-INT-02, and ASEK-35-INT-03. The ASEK-35-INT-02 supports programming four devices in parallel, which can be useful where multiple compatible devices need to be programmed in one setup. The interface-board range also includes a prototyping option.
Socket boards are package- and sensor-specific accessories that provide a burn-in test socket, application-level support circuitry, test points, and a header connector for signal access. They are supplied without a sensor installed, enabling the appropriate supported sensor to be fitted for the intended test or programming arrangement.
For calibration work, the ASEK-35-ACC-CAL accessory supports high-accuracy calibration of all ASEK-35 ADC and DAC channels.
Applications
- Programming supported Allegro ASEK-35 current sensors
- Parallel programming of up to four compatible devices with the ASEK-35-INT-02
- Prototyping and signal-access setups using interface and socket boards
- Burn-in test arrangements for supported sensor and package combinations
- Evaluation of sensor connections through test points and header-accessible signals
- Calibration of ASEK-35 programmer ADC and DAC channels
Design considerations
Selection begins with the required board type: interface boards establish the programmer-to-sensor hardware connection, while socket boards must match the supported sensor and package arrangement. Socket boards do not include a sensor, so the compatible device must be sourced and installed separately.
For production-oriented programming workflows, the ASEK-35-INT-02 is the relevant option when four-device parallel programming is required. Where access to signals is important during setup or evaluation, the socket-board test points and header connector provide explicit connection points. Calibration requirements should also be considered, as the ASEK-35-ACC-CAL is the accessory specified for high-accuracy calibration of the programmer’s ADC and DAC channels.
