Co250CAN Contactless Power & Data Evaluation Kits

RadiallTCC-2026-10-23-co250can-contactless-power-data-evaluation-kits

Contactless power and data evaluation kits providing up to 250 W across gaps up to 15 mm using transmitter and receiver inductive couplers.

EHBSA Series Capacitors

Introduction

Radiall’s Co250CAN evaluation kits provide a platform for assessing contactless power and data transfer based on inductive coupling. Each kit uses transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) couplers to transfer up to 250 W across a gap of up to 15 mm. The combination of power transfer, data transfer and IP67 ingress protection makes the platform relevant to systems where conventional physical connections may be undesirable.

What it does

The Co250CAN kit comprises separate TX and RX inductive couplers. Together, they establish a contactless link for transferring electrical power and data across the specified air gap.

The system supports up to 250 W output power and has a stated efficiency of 90%. Its maximum supported coupler gap is 15 mm, giving developers a defined range in which to assess alignment, spacing and mechanical integration. IP67 protection also supports evaluation in environments where resistance to dust and water ingress is an important design requirement.

As an evaluation kit, Co250CAN can be used to investigate how inductively coupled power and data could be integrated into a larger system before developing application-specific hardware and mechanics.

Applications

Potential uses consistent with the supplied product information include:

  • Evaluation of contactless power and data links for industrial equipment
  • Prototyping connection interfaces for defense systems
  • Assessment of inductive coupling in aerospace equipment
  • Development and testing of contactless interfaces for medical equipment
  • Laboratory testing of power transfer across gaps up to 15 mm

Design considerations

Integration requires both the TX and RX couplers, with the mechanical design maintaining a suitable gap between them. The stated 15 mm maximum gap is an important constraint when planning enclosure walls, mounting structures or other material between the two sides of the link.

System-level power and thermal planning should account for the specified 250 W output and 90% efficiency. Designers should also verify how operating conditions, coupler positioning and the surrounding mechanical structure affect performance in their intended implementation.

The IP67 rating is relevant to enclosure and environmental planning, but the complete assembled system must still be assessed according to its own mechanical construction and sealing arrangements.
