Advanced Energy has introduced the AIH03ZPFC, a 1100 W board-mounted power factor correction (PFC) module. The module is designed for industrial, medical, defense, and telecommunications systems where size, thermal performance, and efficiency are critical.
Featuring a regulated, non-isolated 390 VDC output, the module delivers up to 97.3% peak efficiency. According to Advanced Energy, the AIH03ZPFC also integrates internal inrush limiting and digital PMBus control and monitoring within a standard half-brick form factor.

The AIH03ZPFC combines power factor correction, internal inrush limiting, and digital PMBus control and monitoring in a board-mounted half-brick module. Auxiliary power support enables external housekeeping functions while maintaining a compact footprint. The module can be deployed as a standalone PFC stage or paired with downstream DC-DC converters.

Thermal Performance and Mechanical Design

The encapsulated module uses a standard 2.4 × 2.3 in (61 × 58.4 mm) half-brick form factor with an installed height of 0.52 in (13.3 mm). The module is compatible with standard heatsinks and thermal solutions.
