As servers, networking gear, and AI hardware push for higher power budgets, engineers face the challenge of packing more wattage into 1U or 3U systems without blowing thermal or efficiency targets. Lower efficiency means more waste heat, which drives up cooling requirements and operating costs.
Bel Fuse has expanded its Titanium-Efficiency CRPS portfolio with the introduction of the TEC2700 and TEC3200 front-end AC-DC power supplies. These units deliver 2.7 kW and 3.2 kW of output power at up to 96 % efficiency in the Intel CRPS form factor, helping system designers cut energy losses and reduce thermal load while keeping pace with growing compute demands.
High Power Density for Next-Gen Systems
Both models provide a regulated 12 VDC main output in a compact 185 × 73.5 × 40 mm package. This allows them to fit seamlessly into 1U, 2U, and 3U platforms while leaving headroom for additional components. Their Titanium 80 PLUS® certification ensures peak efficiency under real-world load conditions, an important factor for hyperscale data centers targeting lower PUE numbers.
Reliability and Serviceability Features
The TEC2700 and TEC3200 include N+1 and cold redundancy, internal ORing, and full protection features (OVP, OCP, OTP, SCP, and surge protection) to keep systems running in mission-critical environments. A built-in Black Box Recorder logs key operating data for failure analysis, while Bootloader support allows remote firmware updates to reduce service downtime.
Flexible Cooling and Global Compatibility
Designers can choose normal or reverse airflow configurations with clockwise or counter clockwise fan rotation to match rack layouts and airflow requirements. A wide input range of 90–264 VAC and HVDC up to 320 VDC ensures compatibility with worldwide deployments and emerging DC-powered data centers.
The TEC2700 and TEC3200 are approved to UL/CSA 62368-1 and EN/IEC 62368-1 safety standards and carry international certifications including KCC, KC, BSMI, and CQC. Normal airflow models are available from stock, with reverse airflow versions offered on request.
For engineers designing high-density compute or storage systems, these supplies offer a way to hit efficiency and power targets while simplifying thermal management and improving serviceability in the field.
