TDK-Lambda Introduces CCG60 60 W DC-DC Converter in 1-Inch Footprint

The new isolated converter offers twice the power of the CCG30 in the same mounting area, with two wide input ranges and efficiency of up to 93%.

1.png TDK Corporation has introduced the TDK-Lambda CCG60, a 60 W isolated DC-DC converter measuring just 25.4 × 25.4 mm. The new model joins the existing CCG series and provides up to twice the power of the CCG30 without increasing the board mounting area.

The converter has an overall height of 13 mm and weighs 30 g. It is available with two 4:1 input ranges and five nominal output voltages for industrial, test and measurement, communications and broadcast equipment.

Input Voltage and Thermal Performance

The CCG60-24 models operate from 9 to 36 Vdc, covering 12 V and 24 V systems. The CCG60-48 versions accept 18 to 76 Vdc. Both input ranges are available with 3.3 V, 5 V, 12 V, 15 V and 24 V outputs.

Efficiency is up to 93%, with the converter rated for operation from −40°C to +85°C. At an ambient temperature of 60°C, the CCG60 can deliver its full 60 W output. This falls to 30 W at 85°C under the specified operating conditions. Convection and forced-air cooling are supported.

Isolation and EMI Shielding

The CCG60 has an input-to-output withstand voltage of 1,500 Vdc for one minute. Input-to-case and output-to-case withstand voltages are rated at 1,000 Vdc, providing functional insulation.

The converter uses six-sided metal shielding to reduce radiated and conducted EMI. Other features include remote on/off control, output voltage adjustment and overcurrent protection.

The series is certified to IEC, EN, UL and CSA 62368-1 and supports operation at altitudes up to 5,000 m. TDK-Lambda provides a five-year warranty.
